With further reference to Mr. W. Ellis's letter of
24th February last, (30083/27), I am directed to inform you
that the Selection Committee at their meeting on 20th instant
decided to recommend Miss Helen Gilmore for appointment as Art
and General Subjects Mistress to the Education Department, Hong
Particulars of Miss Gilmore's qualifications and
Kong.
experience will be found in the accompanying papers.
Miss Gilmore informed the Committee that, if appointed, she
would require an advance of salary.
I am to add that the Selection Committee will inter-
view candidates for the remaining vacancies in Hong Kong on
1st July.
